Anti-Corrosion Design of Self-Drill Anchor
Self-drill anchor combines functions of drilling, grouting and anchoring together, is an advanced anchoring system. While in stratum, it can’t avoid damage from corrosive medium.
To ensure self-drill anchor’s long-term support effect, its corrosive environment should be surveyed adequately and the appropriate protective methods should be chosen.
The principles for anti corrosion self drilling anchor design:
1.Anti-corrosion methods should not influence functions of every part of self-drill anchor. So, according to self-drill anchor’s different parts, anti-corrosion design should be different.
2.The determination of anti-corrosion should also ensure its materials be safe from damage and ensure its long-term anti-corrosion effect.
3.Permanent self-drill anchor (or in severe corrosive environment) should adopt dual anti-corrosion materials and temporary self-drill anchor can adopt simple anti-corrosion material.
Also, cement paste is one kind of anti-corrosion method. The depth of slurry should not be less than 20mm.
