Changping Expressway’s Fengdongshan Tunnel Achieved Bidirectional through
At 11 a.m. June 8, 2018, with the blasting of last section of the cave in the right , Fengdongshan tunnel of Changping expressway achieved the completion of the double-line. Fengdongshan Tunnel, length of nearly 5,000 meters, is the longest six-lane tunnel in Fuzhou .Its connection provides a guarantee for the planed opening of Changping expressway in the latter half of the year.
Fengdongshan tunnel is the only long tunnel of the entire line and has complex geology condition. It passes through seven geological faults. There is a Nanyang reservoir provided for residential drinking water source above the tunnel. So, the tunnel was very difficult to be constructed. When making excavation and blasting, local collapse and gushing mud were easy to occur. In spite of the construction conditions such hard, the contractor actively adjusted the construction scheme and finally realized the tunnel’s breakthrough.
The self drilling anchor bolt produced by Sinorock® is also commonly used in tunnel engineering to reinforce rocks and soil, control deformation, prevent collapse, and has achieved great anchoring effect.
