New Tunnel on Shaikh Rashid Street Will Be Built
On April 28th 2018, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that one new tunnel project will be built on May 3 located in both sides of Shaikh Rashid Street in Dubai. When it is completed, it will greatly improve the traffic flow on Shaikh Rashid Street and benefit all drivers.
The office thought that the project is part of RTA’s plan and aimed to improve the roads, bridges, crossings and underpasses to accommodate the growing traffic situation, and also ease the traffic movement in Dubai .“It is also part of the overall efforts to implement RTA’s strategic plan for upgrading roads and transport infrastructure in Dubai,” he added.
Al Tayer said that the project involved two bridges construction on Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street, each route was constituted by two lanes and could ease traffic flow range from the Trade Center road to the intersection of Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street and Al Kuwait Street. Moreover, it also includes a single-lane ramp.
