Papua Railway Construction in Indonesia
To coordinate with the construction programme of marine highway in Indonesia and accelerate development of logistics transportation, Papua railway will be constructed in the later half of this year.
At present, Papua railway network is speeding up preparation, hoping to enter entitative construction phrase and provide local people with convenient transport service.
It is predicted that Papua railway network will cost about 1 billion Indonesian Rupiah. Overall length is about 300 to 400 kilometers, including passenger traffic line from Sorong, Manokwari, Nabire, Timika, Sarmi to Jayapura and freight account line from Manokwari to Joyapura Port.
Except railway, roadway and port will also be constructed in Papua Island.
Papua Island is the first island in Pacific and the second one in the world, located in the north of Australia, with many mountains and elevation of hilly areas is above 4000 meters.
Building railway network, tunnel construction is quite convenient for saving cost. And self drilling rock anchor is an efficient way to reinforce structures. It combines drilling, grouting and anchoring together, bonds to soil layer, stabilizes stratum and then reaches to the effect of supporting projects.
