Anchor bolt combines drilling, installing, grouting and anchoring together, is a well-designed system according to different site conditions, geological conditions and usage conditions, with high-efficient, reliable and convenient features, which ensures its anchoring effect in different and complex stratum.
Before anchor bolt design, geological mechanical parameters of surrounding rocks should be comprehensive, accurate and reliable, including magnitude and direction of crustal stress, intensity and structures of surrounding rocks, otherwise, it can’t guarantee anchor bolt’s secure construction.
Anchor bolt design is a dynamic process, it takes full advantages of information from every link. Anchor bolt design should include following five stages: engineering investigation and geological mechanic evaluation, initial design, construction and monitoring, feedback analysis and amendment, routine observation.
As supporting material, anchor bolt’s dimension, mechanical property and quality should meet demand of supporting design and relevant regulations in engineering safety.
Besides, relevant administrators, technologists and operators should have technical training of anchor bolt. During construction, they should install anchor bolt strictly as required to ensure construction quality.
